The current Covid measures in Belgium are subject to change. The regulations currently in force are given on the web site Coronavirus COVID-19 (info-coronavirus.be) and you will find a summary here.
On 7th March 2022, the Belgian 'coronavirus barometer' switched to 'code yellow', this means that the least restrictive measures for Covid safety now apply. A Covid Safe Ticket will no longer be necessary in the hospitality sector and there will no longer be any restrictions on events.
Before 7th March, a digital Covid Safe Ticket was required to access events and restaurants. The Covid Cafe Ticket allows you to travel safely and freely within the European Union.
The following 3 different types of certificates prove you are Covid-safe:
- A vaccination certificate proves that you have been fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.
- A test certificate proves that you have taken a negative Covid-19 test.
- A recovery certificate shows that you have recovered from Covid-19 after a previous positive Covid-19 test.
You will find more information on the Covid Safe Ticket and how to install it on your mobile phone at covidsafe.be.
