IIRB Seminar 2025 'Syndrome Basses Richesses - Current findings (SBR)'

This all-day event will provide an opportunity for knowledge transfer and exchange regarding new observations and scientific insights. Various speakers from sugar beet research institutes and universities will contribute to the seminar programme.
We are pleased to announce that we will be hearing lectures from:
- Omid Eini-Gandomani (IfZ, D): Introduction Pathogene Candidatus Arsenophonus phytopathogenicus & Candidatus Phytoplasma solani
- Michael Kube (University of Hohenheim, D): Genome Analysis of the 16SrXII-P Stolbur Phytoplasma
- Xavier Foissac (INRAE, F) & Nuria Fontdevila Pareta (Agroscope, CH): From insect endosymbiont to phloem colonizer: comparative genomics unveils the lifestyle transition of phytopathogenic Arsenophonus strains
- Anna Markheiser (JKI, D): The vector-born epidemiology of Candidatus Phytoplasma solani – drivers, control mechanisms and limitations
- Michael Rostás (University of Göttingen, D): Introduction to the vector Pentastiridius leporinus
- Bojan Duduk (Institute of Pesticides and Environmental Protection, SRB): Geographical variations, prevalence, and molecular dynamics of fastidious phloem-limited pathogens infecting sugar beet across Central Europe
- Helen Pfitzner (UNIKA und Verband der Hessisch-Pfälzischen Zuckerrübenanbauer e.V., D): The vector-pathogen-host plant complex – impacts, research projects, and control strategies
- Fabio Quaglino (University Milan, I): Bois noir management of Candidatus Phytoplasma solani in Vineyard
- Domenico Bosco (University of Turin, I): Management of grapevine flavescence dorée and new research trends for sustainable control of the disease
- Andreas Keiser (Bern University of Applied Sciences HAFL, CH): Crop rotation as a control strategy

Registration
Please register online for the seminar by 15th April 2025. A registration confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address indicated.
There are three options for participation:
a) Attend the seminar on June 5, 2025, including the welcome evening on June 4, 2025 (participation fee 195€, limited to 130 delegates). Registration deadline 15th of April 2025.
b) Attend only the seminar on June 5, 2025, without the welcome evening (participation fee 110 €, limited to 170 delegates). Registration deadline 15th of April 2025
c) Attend online on June 5, 2025. Registration via IIRB homepage (participant fee 30 €). Registration deadline 26th of May 2025.
Cancellation policy: Participation fees will be fully refunded after the workshop in case of written cancellation before 15th April 2025. Please understand that no refunds can be made after this date.
Reception Evening
Reception evening (only with prior registration, remaining spots available):
- The welcome evening will take place on Wednesday, June 4, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the GARTENHAUS.
- The address of the Gartenhaus is: Friedrich Str. 3-4, 37073 Göttingen.
Please note that parking is very limited. We recommend arriving on foot.
